Father killed, child injured in morning shooting at Philadelphia gas station

At least one person was killed, and another person was wounded during a shooting at a gas station in Philadelphia Tuesday morning.

According to officials, a family of four pulled up to the Conoco gas station shortly before 9 a.m.

Investigators say the mother went inside to buy something from the station store, while the father and his two sons were left inside the vehicle.

Police say that is when a masked gunman opened fire on the man in the front passenger seat before running off.

Police say the father was shot multiple times throughout the body and died at the scene, and his 14-year-old son was shot once in the arm and was taken to a local hospital, he is said to be in stable condition.

The 10-year-old was not physically injured during the shooting.

After reviewing security cameras, investigators believe it was a targeted attack against the father.

Police say they are searching for a black Dodge Journey in connection to the shooting.
